is imiparine(tofranil) bad for hypoglycemics and adrenal fatigue?

i have hypoglycemia and my psychiatrist didn’t seem too supportive of the condition. he prescribed me imiparine for depression anyway, or tofranil as brand name. i’ve read that this may not be a good combo. was wondering if anyone knew anything about this. i don’t know if i should be taking this medication while i’m trying to get my symptoms under control, i believe i have adrenal fatigue associated with the hypoglycemia and i don’t know if the imiparine is going to interfere with the healing of my adrenal glands.

I agree- imipramine and other tricyclic antidepressants can cause hyperglycemia.
