postnatal depression?

Hi, Im taking lexapro for postnatal depression. Im on it now for 4 weeks. The anxiety is gone but Im still feeling down. How long does it take for the medication to fully kick in.

It usually takes at least 4 – 6 weeks for the effects of any anti-depressant to take place.

You should see your doctor again and tell him/her, it may be that you need a higher dosage, if it’s not working for you.
